My Maite ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI companion app that chats with you, sends proactive messages, and helps you track wellness and journal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information: your name and email address when you sign up. Companion & profile data: your companion's name, personality, avatar, interests, and preferences. Conversations: messages you send to your companion and the responses generated. Wellness & journal data: food, workout, and note entries you choose to log, and step/weather data if you connect Apple Health or Weather. Device data: push notification tokens so we can deliver messages to your device. Subscription data: your subscription tier and billing status, processed through Stripe/RevenueCat.
We use your information to operate and personalize the app — generating companion responses, sending proactive check-ins, remembering context across conversations, tracking journal and wellness entries you create, processing subscription payments, and providing customer support.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us run the app, such as our AI/LLM provider (to generate responses), Stripe and RevenueCat (to process subscriptions), and Apple push notification services (to deliver messages). These providers are only given the data needed to perform their function.
Your data is stored on secure, access-controlled infrastructure. Access to your conversations, journal entries, and account information is restricted to your account. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
You can edit or delete your companion, journal entries, and reminders at any time within the app. You can disable notifications from your device settings or mute individual companions. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page at any time.
My Maite is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
